To be part of our client-facing team you will understand that family life is dynamic and complicated. We look for individuals who understand that knowing the law is only part of being a top professional.
You will be a good communicator, be keen to learn from some of the best legal professionals and become a specialist rather than a generalist.
You will need to be equally comfortable working independently and as part of a young and dynamic team. In other words, we will give you the autonomy and responsibility to build strong and meaningful professional relationships with our valued clients.
A competitive salary is offered together with exemplary staff benefits following a qualifying probationary period.
We offer full in-house training given to the right candidate with an ongoing mentoring development programme. Minimum requirements are:
- Great client relationship management
- Good communication,
- Well presented
- Driving license and your own car is essential
We can help you qualify as a Solicitor via the new SQE at the earliest opportunity.
From 1 September 2021 to qualify you will need to:
- have a degree in any subject (or equivalent qualification or work experience)
- pass both stages of the SQE assessment – SQE1 focuses on legal knowledge and SQE2 on practical legal skills
- have two years’ qualifying work experience
- pass the SRA’s character and suitability requirements.
Your work at April King satisfies the requirement of two years’ qualifying work experience.
After that, you’ll benefit from regular Continuing Professional Development sessions throughout your employment with April King Legal (in line with regulatory requirements).
If you have already taken the LL.B and LPC, there are some alternative routes to qualification available which we will discuss with you on an individual basis. A traditional training contract is not necessary.
