I have worked in many areas of law, including criminal, matrimonial, conveyancing, civil litigation, tribunals including advocacy and probate. I have represented clients both in the Queen’s Bench Division and Court of Appeal.
What I do
I assist clients with Court of Protection matters such as obtaining a Deputyship Order or Statutory Will.
In addition, I assist my colleague Jen Wiss-Carline in supervising our trainee lawyers during their qualifying employment through to Chartered Legal Executive or Solicitor. This involves checking the documents they have drafted, auditing their files and providing feedback.
I further provide niche advice to our team on property issues that arise from time to time, and I provide training to new starters on conveyancing aspects of the transaction.
When I’m not at work…
I enjoy Sudoku, music festivals and live music, and electronic music. I am an Honorary Member of the Round Table and current Chairman of the 41 Club. I am also an honorary member of Rotary and a member of Mensa. I represented Nottingham at basketball and Nottingham, Leeds and the East Midlands at volleyball. I have two grown up daughters.
