My background

LL.B (Hons) 1st
PG Cert Bus Admin
Highly Commended – CILEX 2018 Awards Legal Expert – Private Client

I started my legal career in 2000, and qualified as a Fellow in 2006. I have more than 8 years of experience in private practice and 8 years in-house. Whilst I specialised initially in Property and Civil Litigation, my expertise covers a broad range of areas. I have also taught the LL.B.

What I do

Along with my colleague Lee Southern, I assist clients with Court of Protection matters such as obtaining a Deputyship Order or Statutory Will.

I also manage the firm’s website. I write extensively for the blog and newsletter, including both client guides and commentary on legal developments, and for legal publications on behalf of the firm such as LexisPSL Private Client.

In addition, I supervise trainee lawyers during their qualifying employment through to Chartered Legal Executive or Solicitor. This involves both day-to-day help, developing our training materials and delivering aspects of the training.

I provide ad-hoc advice to my colleagues on technical points of law and create in-house guides for training purposes.

I further assist the firm with in-house legal matters such as employment, contracts and regulation.

When I’m not at work…

I love walking, hiking, climbing, biking – essentially, being outdoors and spending time with my family. I also have a passion for digital marketing and have run a digital marketing business since 2001, managing and developing websites both for businesses and for myself.
