If you’re visiting Redditch for the day, we recommend a walk around Arrow Valley Country Park. This peaceful location with its beautiful lake is a great spot for a picnic on a sunny day! There’s also a coffee shop which serves a good range of baguettes, paninis and sandwiches, together with scrumptious ice cream from Marshland’s Farm which are made using organic milk. Another great place to visit is Forge Mill & Bordesley Abbey. This is a unique historic site where you can discover the rich heritage of the needle and fishing tackle industries. The ruins of Bordesley Abbey are a stone’s throw away. This medieval Cistercian Abbey has been extensively excavated. The visitor centre gives you the history of the Abbey, from its birth in the 12th century through to its near-demolition in 1538 by Henry VIII.
