West Bridgford

West Bridgford is a sought-after area of Nottingham located only a couple of miles from the city centre. This thriving suburb runs south of the river and is one of the most popular, family friendly areas in Nottingham to live. The centre of West Bridgford has a rich amalgamation of buildings, mostly Victorian.

West Bridgford’s main shopping district runs from Central Avenue through Tudor Square to Gordon Road. There are numerous cafes, restaurants, coffee shops, delis, bars and high-end shops including Oliver Bonas, Carluccios Italian, Escabeche Spanish tapas, and contemporary bars such as The Botanist.

West Bridgford Schools are extremely well-regarded with mainly outstanding Ofstead accreditation such as West Bridgford Infants and Junior School, following onto the secondary schools which are now both academies in West Bridgford, The West Bridgford School and Rushcliffe School. The Becket School is a local Catholic School, although in a separate Local Authority from West Bridgford, as is The Emmanuel School. The University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University are within three miles.

West Bridgford is also renowned for its sporting facilities and heritage, with two football grounds, Trent Bridge Cricket ground and the National Watersports centre.
