Chaired by former Home Secretary and Education Secretary, Lord Blunkett, the Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland brings together the most influential figures from across the country. It celebrates the hard work and achievements of the nation’s unsung leaders, while laying the ground for the next generation.
Paul was approached by the Council, having led April King for more than 30 years. In his interview, he shared some of his experience and thoughts with interviewer Matthew O’Neil.
He discussed how April King has adapted to Covid-19, and the changes in demand that the firm has seen as a result of the outbreak. Paul explained how, whilst sadly the firm had seen an increase in probate work as expected, surprisingly more clients have approached the firm for advice on excluding children from their Wills.
Paul related that our clients more than ever before are looking for leadership, and the firm delivers this by offering pro-active advice. He also explained our ‘coffee shop’ approach to client relationships, where advice is delivered in a conversational style. This not only ensures that the firm’s clients can understand their options, but also helps clients feel relaxed and comfortable with discussing tricky family dynamics and politics!
Paul explained that the firm had made more use of tech during the Covid-19 lockdown, and set out that the firm would continue to expand this approach over the coming year.
