Our Business Analyst Jamie Tewson is taking part in this year’s Great North Run to raise money for Crohn’s & Colitis UK. He completed the Great North Run and the Robin Hood Half Marathon last year and raised over £1,400 for the same charity. This year he is back with three friends to try and raise the same again, if not more!
One of the three will be Jamie’s brother, Jordan. Jordan suffers from Crohn’s and Colitis and back in his early teenage years had to suffer months in the hospital and unfortunately this resulted in the permanent lose of his large bowel and now has to wear a Colostomy Bag for the rest of his life.
“As there are still so many unanswered questions surrounding Crohn’s, it can take time to identify and administer the appropriate treatment.”
Jamie goes on to say:
“This therefore resulted in the major operation my brother had to go through as the damage was already done. On behalf of my fundraising team I would like to thank April King Legal and Property for their kind donation to the cause.”
Jamie’s aim along with his brother Jordan and close friends Iain and Thomas is to raise as much as possible to go toward the research surrounding the diseases and hopefully one day find a cure, but in the short term, they also wish to raise as much awareness as possible for the charity.
